Styling Tips and Tricks
A well-fitted blazer can instantly make you look more put together. The key element to a perfect blazer is to make sure the shoulder seams hit the edge of your shoulders, and the sleeves are the right length for your arms. With that being said, some people like an oversized sleeve but if you´re not ready for that, make sure when you reach your arms forward the end of the sleeves line up just under your wrist. Avoid blazers that are too tight or too loose. An ill-fitting blazer could distort your shape, and no matter your shape, we want to show it off!
Colour Choice
Blazers come in a variety of colors, so choose one that suits your personal style. But, everyone needs at least one black blazer as a staple piece in any wardrobe. Other popular colors include navy, grey, and beige if black isn´t your thing.
Picnic or Board Room
You can wear a blazer with anything from a simple t-shirt to a dressy blouse. It’s a great way to add a touch of elegance to an everyday outfit, or to dress down a more formal piece. We´re thinking of wearing it over a floral dress or a mini skirt, your favorite pair of jeans, or literally over a pair of pj´s (kidding)
Accessories
Try wearing a statement necklace or scarf, or add a belt to cinch your waist and create a different silhouette. W at Runway and Tell, love a blazer cinched in at the waist over a mid-length skirt and heels. And, depending on your mood that day maybe even with a little bra-let poking through.
Sustainability is actually the key
Something to keep in mind is you don´t need to shop bougie to look, bougie. There are thousands of classic, vintage, and jazzy blazers out there waiting to be discovered from second-hand stores. Just think you´re probably likely to have a one-of-a-kind piece if you go hunting for it, AND, it won’t break the bank while also saving the planet. That´s cute!
